Welcome

Rewind Outdoors was born out of a passion for exploring wild places and the tremendous mental and physical benefits that brings. Being able to help other people experience that is our main drive  and we hope everyone who comes on one of our trips leaves mentally re-energised!

We want to showcase the great wild places we have available in the UK and work with small local providers to support the places we work in.

We work with a few, qualified, experienced guides who have extensive personal and professional experience of their own adventures both in the UK and across the globe.

Nick's Story

I really found my passion for the outdoors in my early 20's, making regular trips from Cambridgeshire to the Peak District and Wales to go hiking and camping with my girlfriend and now wife. This continued and we took on bigger challenges like Kilimanjaro, Tour Du Mont Blanc and hiking in Iceland. These trips had amazing guides and it really lit my fire for wanting to work as a guide in the outdoors, their passion and knowledge to make the best trip for their clients shone through. Fast forward 7 years, a lot of time spent in the outdoors, achieving several outdoor qualifications and a chance redundancy from my engineering career, Rewind Outdoors was Born.

I managed to set myself up freelance guiding as a bike guide, working on all kinds of trips from leisure and road to gravel and mountain biking. This enabled me to still have time off to pursue my own adventures and balance home life a bit better from my previous job. As time went on I decided I wanted to run my own trips and have a 50/50 split between hiking and biking and here we are........ready for a new adventure.

Our Ethos

  • Having an awesome adventure.

  • Spend time journeying in the outdoors to improve mental wellbeing.

  • Take part in something challenging to build confidence, resilience and realising self growth.

  • Small groups with low client-to-guide ratios to reduce our impact on the area and provide a more personal experience.

  • Sustainable tourism - people in the local area we visit should benefit from our presence.
